Theme Parks

Mediapolis S.p.A. is a major leisure investment based on a theme park in northern Italy between Milan and Turin.  The major shareholders are Clear Leisure plc (69.45%) and Olivetti Multiservice, a Telecom Italia company. The project is made up of five different parts:

  • Theme Park
  • Large scale specialised shopping centre
  • Hotel and welcoming organisations
  • Energy production plants
  • Commercial development

Mediapolis will be the largest entertainment venue in the Milan – Turin urban area, and can be reached within one hour’s drive by 4 million people, within two hour’s drive by 12 million, within three hour’s drive by 18-20 million and within 4 hour’s drive by 45 million.

The Milan-Turin area is one of the most important urban conurbations in Europe, with over 18 million inhabitants, and with the Alps – Mediterranean region close by, it accounts for a total of 35 million people, offering high purchasing power. The theme park has little competition in this area.

The land covers an area of 670,000 square metres (about 165 acres), fronting the A6 motorway for 1 km. Studies show that approximately six million visitors could be expected annually. Once completed, the park will become a fully integrated and synergic business in a beautifully landscaped enclosure, consisting of rides, hotels, a shopping centre, restaurants and support services.
